The Sneakpeek Gender kit was on the list of most potentially accurate ways of finding out the gender of the baby.
Many of you reading this are probably experiencing an overwhelming sense of curiosity. Is your baby a boy or a girl?
Like all of you I scoured the internet to find a way to find out the gender of the baby as soon as it would be scientifically possible.
This Gender kit is an at home DNA blood test which allows you test in the comfort of your home.
I wasn’t sure how reliable it was going to be, as it is important how you get your sample. You have to make sure it is not contaminated with either human male or male animal DNA. As the test looks for the Y chromosome within the blood sample you provide.
I am not going to lie but I had to test it myself and see if the Sneakpeek test is worth the money!

My experience using the Gender prediction kit
I think it is very straightforward to use, I didn’t particularly enjoy drawing the blood only because the blood was pretty much everywhere.
The blood does actually flow out which I was quite impressed with.
I think I would rather use their new kit if I had the chance which draws the blood from the side of your arm all by itself.
Other than that the kit was very easy to use.
How long does it take to get the gender results back?
Their timeline on their website gives you a 72 hour turnaround on finding the gender of your baby.
So between ordering your kit and receiving the results it should take 1 week overall.
They also give you all the envelope to send it back.
If I were you like me take the test on a Monday so that the weekend doesn’t cause any delays.
In my case my first test was sent on the 06/02/2023 and it arrived to them on the 10/02/2023. (4 days) The results were in on the 11/02/2023 after 12 hours from receipt.
My results unfortunately came up as inconclusive.
They send your fetal gender analysis report to the email address provided upon kit activation.
What happens if your gender test comes back as inconclusive?
In my case, they sent out a new test again completely complimentary.
The test is pricey so it is important to know if it is worth the spend.
What I am actually dying to know is if the SneakPeek At-Home Gender Test actually works at this point.
How much is the SneakPeek At-Home Gender Test?
This Gender test retails at £89 inclusive of tax and delivery.
What happens if your baby’s gender test doesn’t match the test result?
Can you believe that you get a 100% refund in this case? So you literally have nothing to loose by taking an early test.

- You can use it within the one year period of expiry.
The limitations of this gender test kit
I would say contamination with male DNA can be a problem in a household that has males in it , if not conducted properly.
I think multiple pregnancy ( twin, triplets, etc) can also be tricky as it cannot test for differ amounts of genders in 1.
What happened with my second gender test kit result?
So I took the test again on the 03/04/2023 and received the sample had arrived on the 12/04/2023.
I received the results the next day on the 13/04/2023.
I’m obviously not revealing the gender yet as I can’t wait to tell you the crazy story of how we found out the gender, which was different from my NHS 20 week scan!!! That’s a whole different story!!!!
I can confirm it matches what we saw at our private 4D scan. Let’s hope it matches the gender at birth!!!!
The final verdict
Although, I was sceptical about the Sneak peek gender kit test.
I can confirm that it matched my 4D scan gender result.
Had it not been for Sneakpeek we may have had a big surprise at birth.
If you are looking for an early gender detection kit, this is one you may want to purchase.
