Baselift has kindly sent over their All-in-One Applicator Kit & Illuminating Rose Clay and I really wanted to see if these vegan clay mask lives up to the reviews I’ve seen online.
I have sensitive combination skin where my t-zone is oily but also has other very dry skim areas. It will be interesting how my skin reacts to this vegan clay face mask.

- Mix the illuminating Rose clay with either water, apple cider vinegar or milk (2 teaspoon of powder clay and 1 of the liquid)
- Remove all your make-up
- Cleanse with the Baselift illuminating Rose clay
- Apply the rose clay mask for up to 30 minutes (if your skin is on the sensitive side keep it on for 15 minutes)
- Use a warm cloth or warm water to remove the rose mask
- Use a microneedle treatment

My experience using the Baselift Rose clay mask
I usually use ready made masks so this was new to me.
I love that the Baselift All-in-One Applicator Kit & Illuminating Rose Clay comes with the perfect accessories for preparing the vegan clay mask.
I found that mixing a ratio of 2 teaspoons of rose clay powder with one teaspoon of liquid created the perfect consistency.
The rose clay mask has a slight scent of rose and jojoba oil.
It felt so fresh and relaxing applying it and dried down a typical pastel pink dry clay consistency.
I found it easy to apply with the spatula and most importantly mess free which is exactly what I look for.
I left my mask on for 20 minutes as my skin is on the sensitive side and it’s my first time using this brand.
I then used a warm small towel to remove the clay mask.
My skin was left visibly less red, more radiant, smooth but it was too drying in the zones that were initially dry.
Next time I will only apply it to my t-zone rather than my whole face.
Other than that it reduced my redness even on my new blemishes as well as left me with glowing smooth skin.
Look at this before and after using the Baselift illuminating Rose clay.
The final verdict
This is a great vegan face mask for oily and sensitive skin in my experience.
However, if you have dry skin I wouldn’t look to purchase this as it really makes it dry if it’s not initially oily.
Other than that I like how my redness was instantly better and how smooth my skin was left feeling.
