Shade finder
S19 Lab offer a shade finder option, where you can select from a set of pictures the model which matches your skin tone.
There are two methods to finding the right shade for your needs.
So if you want the shade to match your skin colour simply choose the shade which resembles your skin tone.
If you want to look slightly tanned you can opt for a shade up, so that the body make-up can offer you a temporary tan.
Then you can incorporate their S19 Super FX body gloss to give your that extra skin glow.
Getting 2 shades is a great idea as you can better adjust the tones as you may get tanned or loose your tan respectively.
The big question is, does the S19 Super FX body makeup oxidise? The reality is that it slightly oxidises but not enough to actually notice too much. Bear that in mind and go a shade lighter to avoid a change in skin tone during your day.

#2 Light Super FX body makeup
The S19 Super FX body makeup in shade Light is the perfect match to my skin tone.
The packaging
The Super FX body makeup in light #2 comes in a beautiful Nude and luxury packaging, which reflects right from the packaging the shade you choose.
Everything including the packaging is well designed and thought out.
The body make-up comes in a squeeze tube which easily dispenses the product. It contains 100ml of product which can last you quite some time.
In terms of packaging you can rest assured that you will be satisfied.
The shade
The #2 Light Super FX body makeup shade is a soft Nude with warm undertones.
It was a perfect match to my skin colour and true to what they show on the shade finder.
The formula and texture
This body make-up includes Vitamin E and sodium hyaluronate water.
Your skin is getting nourished and hydrated simultaneously.
The texture of the Super FX body makeup is like that of thick foundation which is very pigmented.
It blends seemlessly and melts into the skin. Giving you a smooth, even and uniform complexion. It’s quite literally your skin but flawless.
Luckily the formula doesn’t feel heavy on the skin and is not tacky.
It has this beautiful natural glow to it and if your scar or imperfection is still visibile you can build it up.
Make sure that you let it dry, you can even set it with setting powder.
It also has a light sweet scent which reminds me of summer.
I am stunned with how lightweight the formula of the Super FX body makeup is. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin at all. I love that it doesn’t have a tacky finish.
#4 Medium Super FX body makeup
I chose the S19 Super FX body makeup in shade medium, taking into consideration the current weather and my skin getting tanned.
I also got it because my arms tend to be more tanned than my legs and now when I wear a dress I can have a more uniform complexion.
The shade
The #4 Medium Super FX body make-up shade is a warm, tan like olive oil type of shade.
You will adore the sun-kissed look it will give your skin.
You can also mix your light shade to your darker one to create the perfect shade.
Be careful with how much you put on as a little goes a long way! You can build it up so don’t worry if you can still see any imperfection.
Super FX body brush
The Super FX body makeup brush is a synthetic ultra soft fiber brush.
The base of the brush is white and rectangular with rounded edges. It also displays S19 in bronze gold.
The bristles are densely packed to give a better body make-up application and allowing for a smooth blended finish as well as better coverage.
The shape of the dense body make-up brush is like that of a wave which nicely fits the body’s contours.
When you use the brush the application is really even, smooth and much easier than if you needed to apply it with your fingers.
The Super FX body brush can be used with both the S19 body make-up and gloss.
Which application tool is best?
The biggest question when it comes to purchasing the brush is, is Finger application, your usual foundation brush or using the S19 Super FX body brush better for application?
With the finger application method
It may take quite some time depending on how much skin area you have to cover.
Also the application through dabbing may not cover the skin an uniform way and can tend to look patchy. As well as create noticeable lines and edges.
Using your usual foundation brush
This could work well depending on the foundation brush you generally use.
Try to opt for a dense brush for body make-up application.
With your average foundation brush, the application might take quite some time and by having to cover more surface area you may not apply it thoroughly.
Using the S19 Super FX body makeup brush
This will probably the easiest application method as the ergonomic edges of the S19 body make-up brush make the application easier and smoother.
The application is more uniform, the coverage is better, nicely blended and you may waste less body make-up that way.
The shape of this body make-up brush make it easier to efficiently and quickly apply the Body make-up and gloss.
Here is a visual of the difference between applying it with your fingers and applying it with the S19 brush. The brush makes it look perfect and uniform whereas with the finger application it looks patchy.
Notice how the edges are patchy on the finger application.
How to take care of the body brush
As with any brush, make sure you use your brush cleanser to clean the brush gently.
The brush absorbs the product so you may need a very efficient brush cleanser.
Then leave it to air dry before your next application.
How to apply the S19 Super FX body makeup
The best way I recommend applying the Super FX body makeup is as follows:
- Cleanse and exfoliate your skin.
- Place a small amount of the body make-up and blend it into the skin using the Super FX body brush.
- Build up the body make-up till you get the coverage you desire.
- For a glowing finish you could apply on top the Super FX body gloss to highlight the areas you need a glow in.
- Alternatively you could use a setting powder to set the formula, this will make it more transfer proof to touch and also makes it last longer.
- You could even set it with setting spray for whatever finish you prefer, wether it’s a glow or a matte finish.
- Make sure you allow the body make-up to dry, before you get dressed.
This is how I apply it effortlessly and get the best results.
How to remove the body makeup
The best method for removing the body make-up entirely depends on wether you have set it or not.
You can use soap and water if you haven’t set, but if you have set you may well need a good make-up remover or cleansing balm.
The formula is created to be transfer proof that’s why it will take you some time to remove it. I usually use this opportunity to do my body scrub and cleansing routine.
My experience with S19 body make-up
When I received the package I was so excited because when it comes down to S19 Lab’s packaging design, it’s effortless and truly beautiful.
In terms of the S19 body make-up formula, I was mesmerised because the make-up is lightweight, not tacky and blends beautifully with their S19 Lab super FX body makeup brush.
Considering I have very sensitive skin I was so happy to see its definitely suitable for sensitive skin as I had no reaction to it at all.
I couldn’t believe how the S19 body make-up gave my skin an airbrushed look almost like I’d used a filter.
In terms of transfer, I noticed that if you set it with a setting powder or spray it lasts longer and also doesn’t really transfer.
If you don’t set it, it slightly transfers.
When I tested if it’s waterproof, it is definitely waterproof and you can see it as the water bubbles on it. However, if you don’t let it air dry you will have it’s transfer.
If you plan to go to the beach or pool either air dry or bring a dark towel.
I was impressed it doesn’t streak at all with water nor rain.
Compared to other formulas I’ve tried it works better in terms of transfer and waterproof ability but still has some degree of transfer.
If you wear your clothes and they rub on you, for example or you go and exercise, you will notice transfer.
So if you are looking for body make-up that blurs imperfections, scars or stretchmarks, this may be worth the try.
This is definitely a body make-up I would use on special occasions.
I was so impressed with how pigmented the S19 body make-up is, a little goes a long way and you can build it up enough to hide whatever you want to hide.
S19 Body makeup Before and After
As you can tell, I used this on my stretch marks. Both women and men tend to develop them, as these happen due to a lack of skin elasticity.
I was shocked with how well they were covered and my thighs looked flawless.
I used the S19 body make-up in light on my chest and again my skin looked filtered.
It’s the best body make-up I’ve tried so far.
To get a slight tan I also tried using the S19 body make-up in medium and it gave me a beautiful light tan.
So I decided to mix the light and medium body make-up and the results were breathtaking.
The pictures speak for themselves.
Then I used the Super FX body makeup in light on my legs and my skin looked really beautiful.
It acts as a skin perfecting make-up for the body.
Last but not least, I tried the S19 Super FX body makeup in medium, it made my leg look beautiful and tanned.
Is it waterproof?
The Super FX body makeup formulas is definitely waterproof and even if you go swimming the water glides over it without leaving any streaks.
The body make-up is left looking seemless.
This the best waterproof body make-up I have ever come across.
Bear in mind that it may transfer on your towel if you are not dry or didn’t air dry.
Is it transfer proof?
When it comes down to transfer, there are a few factors to consider.
It slightly transfers if it’s not set with setting powder.
Firstly if you rub the body make-up with some degree of force it will transfer and that’s normal.
Secondly, if you’ve set it with either setting spray or powder, it’s not likely to transfer unless something is continously rubbing on it.
Third, when you come out of the water (either in the swimming pool or beach) try to air dry rather than dabbing your towel on you. As dabbing with the towel will make it slightly transfer.
If you dry yourself with a cloth or towel make sure it’s dark so no one notices. Otherwise air dry and it won’t transfer nor streak.
It definitely won’t remove nor streak with water and still be in place.

The final Verdict
Overall, this vegan body make-up formula is unbelievable compared to some brands I’ve tried before.
I really love how well it blurs out what I need it to blur out. It makes my skin looks absolutely beautiful almost like I’ve put a filter on it.
When it comes down to its waterproof ability, I would rate it an 8 out of 10 as the body make-up stays put but deducted 2 points because it tends to transfer if you dab it with a towel.
The transfer ability isn’t too bad considering pigmented the body make-up is. I would rate it a 7 out 10 as if you dab it and not set it, it tends to transfer.
My favourite part to this body foundation is that it doesn’t get streaks under the rain and also its so lightweight!
The S19 body make-up brush is a must have as I got the best finish when I used it. I wouldn’t dare reapply it with anything else.
Beware, however that the body brush tends to soak in the make-up.
The S19 Lab Super FX body makeup will definitely be my go to body make-up for special occasions.
