How often should you use korean sheet masks?
Although, Korean skincare swears by a daily sheet mask application, the amount of time per week you should use a sheet mask greatly depends on the ingredients within the mask.
Normal skin types depending on the ingredients can enjoy a sheet mask daily, however if you have acne prone, sensitive or inflamed skin, you must check the ingredients!
A medical study on the Dual Effects of Alpha-Hydroxy Acids on the Skin showed that the concentration of Alpha Hydroxy Acidics like Glycolic Acid can be detrimental to the skin barrier causing harm and inflammation.
A daily sheet mask application may not be suitable to acne prone inflamed skin according to Debbie Palmer, D.O., a New York-based dermatologist.
She recommends people with acne to test the sheet mask on a side area of the face and make sure there is no irritation as well as opting for charcoal containing and Aloe Vera based masks. As well as staying well away from coconut and egg based masks.
People with acne prone skin may benefit from a once a week sheet mask treatment instead.
Exfoliating sheet masks should be used only once a week.
How to use sheet masks
Using a sheet mask is a treatment to incorporate within your skincare routine.

How to carry out a Foreo mask treatment
Carrying out a UFO mask treatment is simple:
- Deep cleanse with a facial cleanser tool, I use the Foreo Luna Mini 3 and the Foreo Micro-Foam Cleanser.
- Pat dry your skin.
- If you have the Foreo Bear or Foreo Bear Mini you can incorporate this within your skincare routine, before your UFO mask treatment.
- Use the Foreo Bear with the Foreo SERUM SERUM SERUM .
- Tone your skin.
- Pat dry your skin.
- Download the Foreo app.
- Pair your UFO device to the app.
- Scan the mask barcode or choose from the list of masks the specific mask you are going to use.
- Remove the attachment ring from the UFO.
- Remove the mask from the sachet.
- Place the mask so that the little rounded flap edge protruding on the mask is on dip where the Foreo logo attachment ring goes.
- Place the ring securely into place with the Foreo logo facing up.
- The corresponding treatment will appear on the app, press START.

Not only was I excited that it is a hydrating face mask but also because it is a hyaluronic acid mask!

My experience with the Foreo Matte Maniac mask
I have combination skin so I was both excited and nervous about trying this face mask. This is because I have oily and dry zones so I was curious if my dry zones would dry up even more.
This was not the case to my surprise this deep cleansing mask was able to balance my skin and not have a drying effect on it.
This mask includes the cryotherapy which was so soothing and helped minimise my pores more efficiently.
My skin was left feeling clean, healthy and so smooth.

As you can tell by my before and after results using the Matte Maniac mask, my skin looks clean, smooth and not dry at all.
