Let’s be realistic brands don’t spend millions in market research for no reason! When we buy a product we generally tend to lead with what we see, hence the visually appealing nature of the design of the cleansers.
Design preference depends very much on personal taste.
The Foreo Luna 3 design
The Luna 3 is made out of an extra soft ultra-hygienic silicone body and the characteristic Foreo Smart Swedish design.
There’s a reason why not all cleansing devices are beneficial and dermatologists don’t often recommend using one.
If the cleanse is too powerful it will tend to do more damage than good to the skin.
This is a good reason why nylon brush cleansers are not ideal for cleansing and we should opt for silicone head cleansing devices instead.
When it comes down to the type of silicone they use for the Cleansing brush head, it is very important that the cleanse performs as gently as possible but at the same time efficiently.
In order to get this balance between a gentle yet deep cleanse,there’s a lot of technological advances that Foreo has made to achieve this very feature.
Foreo has gone a step further and actually created a facial cleanser which has an extra soft silicone brush head! Making this the best facial cleansing brush, so much so that a lot dermatologists actually recommend the Luna 3.
The tip of the Foreo Luna 3 has thicker silicone touchpoints for your T-Zone area.
The Luna 3 has an ultra soft silicone to ensure that you get an optimal cleanse and the fact that it is also ultra-hygienic is so important because it takes away the issue of rubbing in bacteria and impurities into your skin.
This two in one facial cleansing brush exhibits the Cleansing surface at the front of the device and the Firming massage surface on the back.
The firming massage surface is ridged and helps reduce the signs of ageing as well as depuffing and contouring the skin.
The overall shape of the Luna 3 by Foreo Sweden is that of a thick oval.
The device is very simple to operate via it’s universal power button which is located at the back of the device.
This allows you to operate the device easily.
Bear in mind however, that the Foreo Luna 3 firming facial cleanser device is app connected so you also have the option to operate the device and settings from the Foreo app too!
The BeGlow Tia design
The BeGlow Tia has a dual ended design whereby one head of the device has a silicone cleansing brush head and the other has a firming massage titanium head which they define as the “Anti-ageing applicator”.
This silicone is also hygienic and easy to clean, as the silicone head is both removable and replaceable.
The heads shape is like that of an turned oval.
The firming massage end is a titanium plate which has the ability to carry out the massaging function as a separate entity.
The BeGlow Tia has 2 control buttons which are placed in the middle of the device.
One button which is closest to the cleansing head which operates the cleanser.
The other button operates the firming massage and pressing the buttons simultaneously will operate the dual motion contouring feature.
The back of the device features the charging socket.
Overall design difference
The silicone bristles of the BeGlow Tia are much thicker that those of the Luna 3 and it also has much less cleansing surface in comparison.
In terms of design both device have a comfortable grip.
When it comes down to the silicone touchpoints of the Luna 3 it’s a different ball game, you have no idea how soft the brush head is compared to the Tia’s ones.
The Tia’s silicone brush head touchpoints resemble the Foreo thicker ones for the T-Zone area on it’s tip.
The Luna 3 has more cleansing and massaging surface area which speeds up the process.
The BeGlow Tia may be more plug and play with its classic design whereas the Luna 3 is more technologically inclined.

The Foreo Luna 3 weighs 126g whereas the BeGlow Tia weighs 106g
The Luna 3 is slightly heavier but it’s not that much of a noticeable difference.
Size difference
The Foreo Luna 3 size is 102×82.5×39.2mm, whereas the BeGlow Tia’s size is 108x66x36mm.
I was surprised to notice that the size difference between the two is small. The Luna 3 by Foreo Sweden is wider giving you more cleansing and firming massage surface area.
Colour variations
The Luna 3 comes in the colour variations:

*bear in mind that the colour variations in the Luna 3 correspond to cleansing tool specifications for particular skin types.

In terms of colour options both brands offer a good selection. Occasionally both brands release limited edition colour variations.

The Luna 3 will start pulsation very loudly and you will be able to find it.
The T-Sonic pulsations
The T-sonic pulsations are at the core of the technology of the Luna 3.
The device will be able to cleanse efficiently with it’s 8,000 pulsations per minute.
The T-sonic pulsations not only have the ability to massage your skin but will also make sure that the skincare products are absorbed deeply, drawing out impurities from the pores.

The firming massage mode

To use Luna 3 without the app:
- Download the Foreo for you app
- Create an account
- Select your device
- Press the Luna 3 universal button.
- Register your device on the Foreo app.
- Go to settings and set your preferred intensity level.
- To start cleansing simply press the universal power button twice.
- Use the Foreo Micro-Foam Cleanser with some water.
- The Cleansing tool will stop it’s pulsations for an instant when it’s time to move to a different section of your face.
- Work the cleanser in a circular motion.
- The device will automatically switch off after one minute, if not press the universal power button for 3 seconds.
- Get ready to carry out your firming massage from the ridged firming massage side on the back of the device.
*if you are wearing make-up make sure that before you use any cleansing tool, you use some cleansing balm to remove the make-up and then go in for a deep cleanse with the device.

Cleanse your skin with your hands with cleansing balm to remove your make-up.
To Operate the Cleansing mode press the button closest to the cleanser head once for intensity one and twice for a more intense cleanse.
This will allow you to cleanse your face together with your favourite facial cleanser.
Tap dry your face before the next step and apply your toner.
Anti-ageing applicator mode
To activate the anti-ageing applicator mode, single press the button closer to the titanium plate.
Make sure you use a serum when you use this function.
This mode will carry out a massage so that it can firm and tone your skin.
Dual motion contouring
To activate the feature which contours the cheeks and jawline simply press both buttons simultaneously and turn the device.
Together with a serum glide the device across your jawline and cheekbone area.

My experience with the Foreo Luna 3
Firstly and foremost when I saw the device I was instantly mesmerised. The packaging is minimalistic and modern.
The device is irresistible with it’s Smart Swedish design!
That ultra-soft silicone is mesmerising. It’s so appealing not only to the senses but also to my eyes.
The treatment itself is my favourite, a one minute gentle but deep cleanse.
I put on the Foreo Micro-Foam Cleanser and worked in circular motions on my 4 face sections with the Luna 3.
The T-sonic pulsations are so incredibly relaxing and the fact that the Cleansing treatment is just 1 minute, for me is heaven!
I can’t bear to commit to a long treatment!
My skin was left smooth, soft, glowing and looking fresh.
The firming massage mode is activated from the app and together with the Foreo SERUM SERUM SERUM it was truly amazing!
I was depuffed, contoured and I could see it.

The results speak for themselves! Clean, soft and luminous skin!
If you are wondering were I get that natural highlighter type of glow, I use the UFO 2 with Glow Addict mask at least 3 times per week!
My experience with the BeGlow Tia
The design of the BeGlow Tia is very classic and timeless. It also comes in the perfect gift packaging.
The device is very easy to use but at the same time offers 3 different skincare treatments.
I did get a good cleanse with the BeGlow Tia! My skin looked clean and soft!
The Anti-ageing applicator is so relaxing and so is the dual Pulse contouring mode!
Overall, it’s a great device too!

As you can tell from my BeGlow Tia before and after shot, my skin tone looks uniform, healthy and glowing.

The most important part are the results and because the Luna 3 operates at 8,000 pulsations per minute with it’s revolutionary T-sonic pulsations. The smoothness and cleansiness you get are above none.
Your skin is left smooth, soft, radiant and say goodbye to your blackheads!
What surprised me about the BeGlow Tia was that it also operates on pulsations over 4,500.
The Luna 3 has however more room for customisation via the app, you have 16 intensities and a lower frequency targeted massage mode.
The BeGlow Tia has 3 functions of cleansing, Anti-ageing and contouring which operate in a direct plug and play method!
