With temperatures soaring and the summer in full swing, I decided to put to the test the Huda Beauty Glowish Multidew Skin Tint.
Huda Beauty has created the Glowish natural make-up line for those who wish to use clean products which are nourishing to the skin and help unleash naturally beautiful skin.
Glowish is Huda Beauty’s make-up line intertwined with Wishful their skincare line.
Cake face used to be the trend but currently make-up has moved onto more natural finishes and more clean skin conscious lines.
What is a skin tint?
A skin tint is a light coverage hydrating foundation. It is able to give you a uniform complexion as well as the benefits of moisturised skin.
Unlike foundations, skin tints have less pigment allowing the skin to breath and pores not to get clogged.
Don’t confuse skin tints with BB creams or cc creams as they offer different formulas for your skin to shine through.
The Glowish Huda Beauty range
The Glowish Huda Beauty range has just released 4 products and more are said to be added.
The Glowish Huda Beauty collection includes the:
- GloWish Multidew Skin Tint
- GloWish Soft Radiance Bronzing Powder
- GloWish Airbrush Finish Complexion Brush
- GloWish All Over Bronze Brush
The GloWish Multidew Skin Tint
I’m so excited to try the skin tint and I’m keeping my fingers crossed it works for my sensitive combination skin type.
The packaging
The Huda Beauty Glowish skin Tint comes in a very minimalistic packaging, with a pearl finish.
The best part to this packaging is that the skin tint tube is created with 25% post-consumer recycled material, it’s carton is made of FSC paper and it’s 100% recyclable.
I was impressed with the minimalistic design, on IG stories it looked a bit cheap but in real life it’s really sleek and high quality.
The foundation tube has a pump applicator which makes it easy to use and easy to dispense.
How much Glowish Skin Tint is contained?
The Huda Beauty skin Tint contains 40 ml of skin tint.
Considering you need a pump to do your whole face, it should last quite some time.
Where is the Glowish Multidew Skin Tint made?
The Glowish skin Tint is made in Italy.
The formula
The formula is a natural derived one that has been developed so that it has nutritious skincare ingredients, such as:
- Damascus Rose oil
- Red pepper extract
- Squalene
The Damascus Rose oil is an ingredient featured in the Wishful Get Even rose oil and it has the innate ability to lock in moisture, soothe your skin and make it look clearer.
The sustainably sourced Red Bell pepper extract is a very clever ingredient able to protect your skin from pollution and even our screens dreaded blue light.
Plant derived Squalene is an ingredient which I’m very fond off as it has smoothing properties which help prevent the signs of ageing as well plump your skin and keep it moisturised.
This dewy skin tint includes pearl infused ingredients to enhance your glow.
The Glowish Multidew Skin Tint is a clean formula, meaning that it is free of all the nasties that are generally present in cosmetics.
It is sulfate free, parabens free, has no Cyclic silicones, Polyethalene Tetraphylate & Polylactic Acid, non Drying Alcohol, no Triclosan, no Triclocarban no Ethanolamines: DEA/TEA/MEA/ETA, no Talc – asbestos free only, no nano materials, no Mineral Oil, no BHT (Butylated Hydroxytoluene), no EDTA & derivatives, no Methylisothiazolinone / Methylchloroisothiazolinone, no Retinyl Palmitate and no Resorcinol.
If you think this is amazing this Huda Beauty skin Tint is vegan and cruelty free too.
You’ll come to find that this new skin tint is also fragrance free which is a godsend for sensitive and irritated skin types.
The shade range
The shade range is as your typical general skin tints and a shade can be very broad as it is of sheer coverage.
The Glowish Skin Tint comes in 13 shades:
- Fair suitable #FauxFilter shades Milkshake to Cashew
- Fair light suitable #FauxFilter shades Cashew to Chai
- Light suitable #FauxFilter shades Chai to Toasted Coconut
- Light medium suitable #FauxFilter shades Toasted Coconut to Latte
- Medium suitable #FauxFilter shades Latte to Butter Pecan
- Medium tan suitable #FauxFilter shades Butter Pecan to Macchiato
- Tan suitable #FauxFilter shades Brown Sugar to Toffee
- Deep tan suitable #FauxFilter shades Cinnamon to Peanut Butter Cup
- Deep suitable #FauxFilter shades Peanut Butter Cup to Nutmeg
- Rich suitable #FauxFilter shades Nutmeg to Chocolate Truffle
- Extra rich suitable #FauxFilter shades Chocolate Truffle to Lava Cake
Each shade range is very broad and covers a few shades.
I got mine in the shade Fair light, eventhough the Huda Beauty website recommended Light as I am generally Toasted Coconut in the Faux Filter foundation.
To be honest it’s a shade darker than my skin tone. So I probably could have gone a shade lighter.
This is the comparison in shades between my Faux filter foundation and Glowish skin Tint.
*make sure that you get colour matched on the Huda Beauty website and opt probably for a shade lighter.
The texture
At first glance, the consistency of the Huda Beauty skin tint looks highly pigmented and nice and thick.
Don’t let this thickness fool you, it’s actually a really light and airy formula.
I did an oil test on a piece of paper for all of the Huda Beauty foundations and it exudes oil as you can see.
I put each Huda Beauty foundation on a piece of paper to see which of the formulas exudes the most oil.
The Huda Beauty Faux Filter liquid foundation and the Glowish Multidew Skin Tint exuded oil whereas the Faux Filter foundation stick and the Faux Filter Luminous matte foundation didn’t.
The coverage
The coverage is a light coverage and works as a beautiful light skin tint.
This is amazing for the summer weather, people who don’t like wearing make-up and mature skin types.
How to apply the Glowish Multidew Skin Tint
Applying the Glowish Multidew Skin Tint is simple and there are three ways of using the product.
For a touch of glow
If you are not in the mood to wear make-up but want a hint of a glow, simply apply the Huda Beauty Glowish skin tint as a highlighter by tapping it on your:
- Cheek bones
- Nose bridge and tip
- Chin
From the before and after shots using the Glowish Skin Tint for a touch of glow, you can tell it really offers a brilliant glow just applied on my cheekbones, nose and chin.
Sheer coverage with a no make-up, make-up skin finish
Simply apply about a pump and a half to your whole face.
It will make your complexion look more uniform but at the same time make you look like you have a natural make-up look and you have naturally radiant skin.
*for oily skin types, you may have to press in setting powder to control your oils.
A dewy medium coverage make-up look
This method gets you adding a pump of Glowish skin tint together with your foundation.
This will give you more coverage and a dewy finish at the same time.
I added the Glowish Skin Tint to my Mac foundation and my skin looked so beautiful. I specifically added it to my Mac foundation because it is very matte and the Glowish Skin Tint gave me a hint of a glow with the benefit of the full coverage foundation.
A non dewy medium coverage make-up look
If you have oily skin and the word dewy scares you away, there’s a way around it.
Mix your foundation with a drop of the skin tint then simply press on setting powder and that should solve your oil issues.
The blendability
The formula is ultra-hydrating, boosts your skin radiance and melts in the skin like butter.
It is very easy to apply and blend.
The best way to apply skin tint
It is very easy to apply and you can apply it with:
- Your hands
- A beauty blender
- A foundation brush
- GloWish Airbrush Finish Complexion Brush
The best way to apply a skin tint is by general opinion, with your hands.
I prefer using my Beauty blender.
Should you use a primer before applying the skin tint?
Yes, all skin types should use a primer before applying the skin tint. This will increase the staying power of the skin tint.
This is particularly important for people who have oily skin and if you will sweat a lot.
With the pore filler and Huda Beauty Water Jelly Hydrating Primer the swatches stayed on all day long.
Should you apply a moisturiser before applying a skin tinted moisturiser?
As a word of thumb I don’t recommend using a moisturiser as the Glowish Skin Tint is already a very hydrating product.
For normal skin types
You should cleanse, apply your serum and primer.
For oily skin types
Oily skin types should avoid any oil based moisturisers and opt for water based ones instead. After this, apply the appropriate primer for your skin type.
My experience using the Glowish Multidew Skin Tint
I was really surprised with the packaging, it’s so simple but so pretty at the same time.
I was excited to try it as lately I’m totally embracing my natural skin. I want to have a make-up no make-up look.
I want to feel like I don’t have a heavy foundation sitting on my face and the Glowish skin tint was a great contender.
I love the concept of nourishing my skin but also allowing some room for make-up too.
I found it very easy to apply and so quick too.
These were my before and after results using the Glowish Skin Tint.
Before and After using the Glowish Skin tint
I was shocked with the results as my skin looked really healthy, radiant and my complexion looked uniform.
The durability
This is what my Glowish Multidew Skin Tint looked like after 12 hours.
It looked really nice for up to 6 hours and after that unfortunately I noticed a deterioration of the formula.
The Glowish skin Tint unfortunately broke apart and creased in my expression lines.
It also isn’t transfer proof so it rubbed off where my sunglasses were and on my jaw.
However, my oils were not overly shinning through and it didn’t stick to any dryness.
Oily skin types usually tend to look overly oily but the Huda Beauty skin Tint does really well on normal and dry skin.
The skin finish
The skin finish is a glowing skin finish which is light coverage but more pigmented than your average skin tint.
This is the ideal skin tint for people who:
- don’t like to wear make-up.
- want a glowing natural complexion
- want to wear make-up and have make-up no make-up look.
- want a sheer coverage complexion.
- want the goodness of a skincare product but into their make-up.
Waterproof ability
The Glowish Multidew Skin Tint is not fully waterproof but is definitely humidity proof as it didn’t budge in the shower and heat.
Is Glowish skin Tint transfer proof?
The Huda Beauty Glowish skin Tint is not transfer proof.
Is the Huda Beauty Skin Tint moisturiser mask proof?
This formula is not mask proof but then again none of them are with a tight fitted mask.
Does the Glowish Skin Tint crease?
Unfortunately, after 6 hours the foundation creases and settles into any expression lines.
Does the Glowish Skin Tint break up?
Unfortunately, after 12 hours it did break up slightly where it had creased on my smile line.
Glowish skin Tint for dry skin
The Glowish tint is suitable for dry skin as it has deeply nourishing, hydrating and illuminating properties which are suitable for dry skin types.
Glowish skin Tint for oily skin
This may not be totally suitable to oily skin, if you don’t like a glowing skin look.
However, if you like glowing skin and not having to wear make-up but want a more uniform complexion this may well be suited for you.
Glowish skin Tint for acne prone skin
The Glowish Multidew Skin Tint is suitable for acne prone skin in terms of formula as it is non comodogenic.
Skin tints in general are suited to acne prone skin.
The skin tint will also be able to cover up any redness.
Glowish skin Tint for combination skin
I personally have combination skin and found that it works well with my sensitive skin, dry patches and oily t-zone.
Glowish skin Tint for mature skin
Skin tints are ideal for mature skin as the formulas don’t tend to settle into fine lines and wrinkles and also has plumping Anti-ageing benefits.
The radiance the skin tints give you, make mature skin appear younger.
I tried this on my mothers mature skin type and the results were as follows.
The Huda Beauty GloWish Multidew Skin Tint vs the Huda Beauty Faux Filter skin finish foundation stick
Since the Huda Beauty Faux Filter skin finish foundation stick is a light to medium coverage foundation, I thought it would be a great idea to compare it to the Glowish Multidew Skin Tint.
I found that the formula of the Huda Beauty Faux Filter stick is completely different as it is more of a thick texture and the Glowish is light and airy.
They both apply really well and are very easy to blend.
The Glowish Multidew Skin Tint has a radiant appearance to it but the Huda Beauty Faux Filter stick has a more matte effect.
The skin tint seems to hold better in terms of creasing however the Faux Filter foundation stick doesn’t highlight pores.
How much is the Glowish Multidew Skin Tint?

The Glowish Multidew Skin Tint was a good surprise overall, I like that it holds more pigment than your average skin tint.
I love how light this Huda Beauty formula is and it makes it ideal for a skincare lover and someone who wants a more natural finish.
It’s a shame that the Glowish Multidew Skin Tint creases in expression lines and transfers.
Other than that it actually looks beautiful on my combination skin.
